Training

Training for professionals

We offer a variety of training for professionals depending on their location.

 

C-Card: Becoming a Registration or Distribution Point

Available to: Professionals in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin

These sessions allow you or your venue to become a registration or distribution point for the C-Card condom distribution scheme.

This is recommended for pharmacies, GP surgery staff and professionals who work with young people.

Clinical Placements

All clinical placement enquiries must go through Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust’s Clinical Placement Team.

LARC Training

Available to: Clinical professionals in Staffordshire and Telford & Wrekin

The Sexual Health Team can train clinical staff (such as GPs and Practice Nurses), to be able to provide Long Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) methods such as the contraceptive implant, IUD/IUS and injection. We also hold frequent network meetings to discuss clinical guidance, good practice and related topics.

Sexual Health Awareness Training

Available to: Professionals in Stoke-on-Trent, professionals in South Staffordshire

Aimed at staff working with young people, this session will offer an overview of sexual health services in your local area.

It will improve knowledge around sex and relationships, sex and the law and how to make referrals into services.
